I had a laparoscopy a week ago due to an ovarian cyst that was causing me a lot of pain. My doctor decided to also laser off some endometriosis while in there and he also performed a D&C to clean me out because I had also been having some heavy bleeding. Needless to say, the first few days post surgery were painful and I had moderate bleeding for about 2 days. Since then, soreness in the incision sites are really all that's bothered me.
Well, this morning I woke up to spotting a brown fluid and also had some cramping. It is getting close to my period because I am supposed to start next week. But with the D&C and all, I figured I may not bleed this month at all. I don't really know what to think because this is the first time I have ever had this kind of surgery. Is this normal stuff? Or should I be worried? My doctor did say that everything inside looks good (no cancers or problems with my tubes, etc.) so that's good, but I'm just worried about this cramping. I go back for my follow up appt. Thursday but do you think I should call now and ask the nurse if this is normal?
