Help! My 43 year old daughter, is itching all over and it started after one full week on a weight loss liquid (supervised by a physician). She's eliminating alot of water, of course. She has 'alot' to lose and this is a desperate try on her behalf. She has to be seen every two weeks to be checked. She had a reaction a few years back that caused bad hives all over her body---they never pinpointed what caused it but suspected red food dye. She eventually got ok after 8 wks. of missing work! She's had a couple of other times that it's happened but not as severe. Now, after just one week on this liquid, it began happening---actually two days ago but today is bad. She called the office and no others have had this side effect. She's using benydryl and a lotion all over her body. She's really hoping she doesn't have to discontinue this program---it's really going to help her we feel. Has anyone had this happen either due to age or taking a powdered diet formula etc. ?
If so, how did you treat it and did it last long? thanks.
