Hello all,

I have a couple of questions. I have mild asthma that was controlled very well by intal inhaler. In fact I did so well that my allergist took me off of it about 1 1/2 years ago. I have atrovent as a rescue inhaler that I hardly every used, maybe once every 2 months or so. Every since Jan when I had a reaction to topamax (I think) when I lay down on some nights all of a sudden I can not breath good. Last night it happened again. I took my inhaler and a sinus allergy pill and a cough drop. I finally was able to get to sleep. Now today I have been having a hard time breathing all day. I have done all my meds that I can. It feels like somebody is sitting on my throat, or choking me. I have made an appointment with my allergists but can not get in until June 21. Can you believe that!! I also have a host of other medical problems. They just found out that I have increased intracranial pressure which my neurologist said is hydrocephalus. I wonder if that could cause my breathing problems. I see the neurologists on April 12. When I look up hydrocephalus it does not list breathing problems as a symptom. I just wonder if my asthma is flaring up again or what. I live about 50 miles north of Detroit. What do you all think?

Thanks,

Karen

Sounds like you should be back on adaily med. I'd go to a pulmonologist.
