If any has a thought.
I am 26 years old and about 140 lbs..I have a long family history of heart disease in my family both my parents being the main ones. My mom actually passed away in 1999 due to a heart attack (She was 46 years old). We didn't know she had any problems.
Any way on sunday march 18th I shoveled outside for maybe 5-10 min. (I also have very mild asthma)
I got a burning pain in my lungs felt like an asthma attack. Got better. Woke up the next day and it was still there got progressively worse through the day. It felt like my lungs were on fire and very short of breath with short distances (maybe a few steps). mIDDLE OF THE DAY CALLED AN WENT TO SEE A DR (MY USUAL WAS ON VACA FOR 2 WEEKS) I told her what was happening. She had a nurse put the oxygen sensor on my finger and it was norm 99. Then we made a loop aroung the hall and it went to 93%. The dr didn't like that so she sent me to the ER. She wanted a chest xray and blood work. That was fine. So a few days later I went back because I was still feeling awful (saw a different dr this time) He did the same thing with the O2 sensor on my finger resting it was 100%. Did another loop around and it went back down to 93% again. He scheduled an appt for a Cat scan of my lungs). He didn't seem too concerned. WEnt for my follow up yesterday for The CAT scan. I felt better no more burning in my lungs but still short of breath. She also did the O2 sensor resting it was 99-100%. And pulse was normal and BP.
We walked I kid you not maybe 15-20 ft if lucky and I got a little dizzy she asked me how I was and she grabbed my arm and sat me down. My 02 dropped to 90%. my pulse was 115 and my BP was in the 130's, So she is ordering more blood work, stress test, echo and setting me up with a holter monitor. She told me she doesn't know what is going on. (At least she is honest). When I was younger(15 years old) and the last time being a few months ago I blacked out alot, maybe 5-6 times.
Hopefully they can figure out what is going on. How low does your oxygen get before they really worry? I was diagnosed with asthma nov. 18 2005 when I had my methocholine challenge, that went down to 66% without finishing the test.
Thanks alot
