My eyelids and the areas around my eyes and up the side of my nose near my eyes have turned pink/purple/blue. I've spent many hours a day working with computers. If I take time away from screens of any kind the swollenness and discoloration starts to dissapear, like after two days of no screen time whatsoever I can notice a difference. My eyes burn slightly when I use a computer monitor and/or watch tv. Anything backlit it seems. I'm at Devry University right now and most of the people that work here with computers and the students have the same look about their eyes. The older folks seem to be suffering from it very badly. My brother works in landscaping and gets little screentime. He and the people he works with have no dark areas around their eyes. My uncle works with air conditioning and sees little screen time as well. He has no dark areas under and around his eyes though develops them occasionally if he spends a whole weekend playing video games. I've tried all that light/proper distance/looking away/eye drops/breaks/stretches/walks/massages/drinking water/been to the eyedoctor glasses are fine, prescription is fine/contacts/glare removal junk and none of it makes any difference. Is there any way around this? It feels bad, it looks terrible. I don't want to pursue a career in computers if this feeling and appearance accompanies the job. Is there there a way to get screentime without wrecking my eyes? I enjoy this line of work but if I can't find a solution to this I'm going to give it up. I'd really appreciate any help. I look like a raccoon. I'm not kidding. I'd laugh if it didn't seem permanent. Is there actually any treatment of any kind? I don't care if it's flying to the moon and doing cartwheels I'd love to hear about any effective treatment for this condition. Anything at all. I've been searching for days.

What I have developed will recede to a point but otherwise seems permanent. Literally baby blue lines streaking up the side of my nose and dark circles around my eyes with everything pink and slightly swollen in between. I do get plenty of sleep and I am in great shape. I also take vitamins.
