Hi Laurie: I don't know any Drs in your area, but one way of finding someone is going to or calling your nearest Univ Med Center. Mineral Metabolism Drs or Endo's specialising in min met are usually found at Universities. In some cases you have to get a referral from an existing physician to be seen, and some don't do that, so I would call around and see what you find out. Look for a Univ. Med Center with an osteo department, or something similar.

Good Luck...

LaurieFB-I second DesertBloom's comments. I used to live in no. Cal. and I would suggest you contact Univ. of Ca. San Francisco. I have looked at their website and see that they have an osteoporosis dept. For my medical needs I found ucsf to be great. I think it's very competitive for drs to be appointed there and they get the cream of the crop. Just my impression from my limited experience. Best of luck!

Check out UC Davis - Rheumatology. There's also a doctor in Oalkand who is very good.
