I met a guy back in the middle of jan '07. We started dating and sex came shortly after. Things didnt work out between us, so we ended our relationship. However, I am so completely terrified of getting tested. I have never had anything.

He came in me while we had anal sex a few times, but he reassured me that he was tested for everything (which im hoping included hiv) back in nov 06 and he was clean, does not have anything and does not want anything. he said the test was like $500. he is in the military, so i know for a fact he'd know if he was infected. But it worries me b/c I know he has dated 2 or 3 latina/hispanic girls (although by the looks of their photos they looked ok).

I also noticed about an inch to the left of his navel he had some sort of infected bump w/ pus. He pointed it out to me and said he had been bit by a brown recluse spider in arizona and that it was probbaly another bite since he is now more susceptible to spider bites.

I believed him at the time; however, now b/c we arent together I worry about it all the time. it's making me sick.

i just dont know if i'd even want to know if i was infected. i mean it's possible he has hiv, and i could not even have it. or he may not have it at all. i keep spying on his ******* page to look for clues of any kind. im really not psycho. i was just out of my realm for taking his word and not using protection. i just hate this feeling.

First off a Brown Recluse Spider bite leaves ALOT more damage than just a white pimple with puss, it pervades by the hour. He probably wouldn't have a penis left if it was a Brown Recluse bite.

I know how you feel, I've been there. All I can recommend is you get tested and hopefully you test negative, getting tested is so much easier on your mind after it's been done because you'll know the truth. It's better to know than to always wonder...

no, the spider bite was not near his penis at all. it was near his belly button. he thought he was bit by a spider in his apartment and later said to have gotten it exterminated. he said he was bit by a recluse a few years ago, and it needed emergency care.

i just know that people who are on hiv injection meds can have some sort of bump at the injection site. it's really starting to freak me out.

It's just, if he is lying, that would be so messed up!!!!!!! But I just dont know why I cant just move forward with this and believe him.

I want to have a piece of mind, but i ust dont know if i can go through with being tested.

there is no reason to fear being tested,it will help you alot more then not doing it. good luck and put your fears aside! :)
