If you are a smoker or former smoker but most especially current quiting or not How does medical staff treat you? What I want to know is do you feel that you are treated with a hey you got what you deserved attitude or are they just as careing and supportive to you as to anyone else? Thanks in advance.

The week I was in the hospital and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, I told all my doctors I was quitting. I slipped aroung about 10 or 11 times the first month and lit one. But my doctors took me at my word and it has never been an issue. When they listen to my lungs I always ask if they sound like a smokers lung. He alway says not, but then again they never have. I smoked for over 30 years. I feel I get excellent treatment. They have even told me that its likely I got the cancer from smoking, but with my strong family background, it was just as likely from that.
