View Full Version : Did creatine make me sick?

I've been taking Cell-Tech for a few weeks now and the other day I drank my normal amount and I got really dizzy and sick to my stomach. Did this occur because I had a headache earlier in that day and it triggered something? Or maybe because I'm getting sick of that particular flavor (fruit punch)? Any input would be appreciated so I don't have to throw 30 dollars of powder away.

with the creatine I drink 12 oz and I usually drink about a gallon a day on average. I think I drank it too quickly too and it was too sweet. Should I try diluting it a bit more?

not really. was just thinking the sick feeling could be due to dehydration. Most people dont realize the ammount of water you need to be drinking with creatine. looks like you have it covered that way though. Creatine does upset some peoples stomaches. Never had that probelm though.

I did wake up with a migraine so maybe the sugar in the Cell-Tech aggrivated something, now whenever I imagine the taste I sort of gag. I might have been dehydrated that day though, I'll stay off it for a few days just to be sure.

You could try the efervestant creatine if the regular stuff bothers your stomach. It's supposed to be a lot less hard on your stomach to take as well as absorb into your bloodstream faster. I haven't tried it but I'm told it's good if the regular bothers your stomach. It is a bit more expensive than the regular kind though.

I was talking to a ex pro bb woman I know who knows everything there is to know about bb nutrition, and apparently alot of people get upset stomachs with Cell-Tech because the ingredients they use create a very acidic environment in your digestive system, particularly the levels of dextrose in it. Try a different product. Also make sure you keep hydrated, like H8CC said.
