Has anyone had an eye twitch that has lasted for a while. Mine has been going on for over a month. It is in the corner of my left eye. I keep getting headaches around that eye also. Can twitches be a sign of something more serious?

I don't know if it could be a sign of something more serious but I do know first hand they can drag on and drive you nutty. My husband had one on and off for a couple months to the point he said it was wearing him out. I've read theories that it is related to stress, but could never find anything definitive.

I've read that too and caffine, not enough sleep. I hardly drink caffine and I think I get enough sleep. It really does wear you out and makes you nuts. I've always gotten them, but this is the longest that it has lasted. I went to the eye doctor and she gave me restast or whatever it is called. I hope it works. She also said the same as above.

Some medications can cause this. I had an allergy to protein on my contact lenses that cause it. I switched to disposable contacts and the problem was solved. The thing that concerns me is there is also a headache in that area. I really think a Doc should check him out. Best of Luck!

I went to the eye doctor and also the doctor. The doctor said I have a sinus infection and the eye doctor said the headache is not because of the eye twitch. I just want it to stop.

I get eye twiches and I have seen a clear coorelation between them and the level of stress I am under. When I am under a lot of stress and feel a lot of anxiety I even get twiches in my facial muscles. I totally understand that it is wearing you down. For me, the one thing that helps is anti anxiety drugs, like valium. I am not suggesting that you should take them, I just want you to consider if you are under a lot of stress in your life.

My eye has twitched for about four weeks. A week after it started I got a really bad sinus infection. I do think eye twitches and sinus infections are related. I hope this answers your question. :)

usually eye twitching is either stress related or lack of sleep.

I have eye twitch too, i got all 3 things! sinus infection, stress and lack of sleep!!!!!
I'm on antibiotics for the sinus infection, can't sleep at the moment, too many things going on, but however I should hopefully be a lot less de stressed Friday this week.
Life changing things are due to happen and I'm waiting for an answer.
I'm hoping the twitch will go away by itself after that.
Never had it before tho.

i too have a twitch going on , my eye is not actually twitching but just to the corner (where the pulse is) on my left eye is noticeably pulsating more then the pulse on the other side and sometimes i can see it jump quite forcefully. i see my gp and at the time it wasnt twitching enough to be visually seen but she checked my other pulses under the jaw line and on my temples and said there all fine and also put it down to stress lack of sleep and too much coffee and tea. its so irritating and is getting me down.
