Hi all. I'm crazy. I've been tested for HIV 4 times since June of 2006. My X girlfriend and I broke up in February 2006. I haven't had sex since that time. My four tests were all past the window period. The most recent test was last week. All were negative. I even donated blood in Sept. I got a Blood Donors Card and keep getting calls from them asking when I can help them out again. Am I 100% in the clear or what?? I don't know why I just can't except the results. My doctor says all the symptoms I'm experiencing are anxiety related. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should accept the results. My young son was pricked with a pin two years ago and thought he had contact with the hiv virus. He had all these symthoms, read them on the internet, which drove him crazy. Anyway, just finally told me. I was convinced that the symthoms were all from stress, rash on face, joint pain, fatigue, mouth sores, sore throat, I could go on and on. Anyway, took him for a rapid test, he's fine. They said if it's negative its definitely negative after all this time. If it was positive, it could be false positive and then they would retest. Now, that he's calmed down and busy with baseball, he's symthoms are slowly going away. You should contact your local hiv test site and speak with one of the counselors, they may be able to calm your fears. The fact that you donate blood should may you feel confident that your clear, they test that blood also for hiv and other diseases and will call you to counsel you if they found any problems. I know its hard, but live your life happy that you are negative and do all you can to stay that way. The hiv virus is very sensitive and can only be transmitted through certain ways. Hope this helps, I don't know how old you are but at any age I would never want someone to go through what my son went through with the worrying.

Let it go mate, you are negative, you have been told time and time again you are negative. Stop torturing yourself, move on.

You only get this life once, it is not a practice run, enjoy it, breath the air, laugh and have fun.

My advice? Go out and get drunk, laugh, enjoy yourself and don't post here again.

Take care, enjoy your life and stop destroying it. Kevin
