I just need some advice not sure if I have a disorder or not but here is my story anyone been there? have any advice? opinions? make me feel better? I had a head cold 7 weeks ago. 5 1/2 weeks ago I had a horrible vertigo experience and fell on the floor. Felt pretty dizzy all the time went to dr she said was flu. Contracted a stomache flu a few days later went to ER got hydrated he said dizziness was nothing. Three days later horrible stomache flu still raging then still very dizzy. Went to ER they ran tests says was just illness gave me anti-nausea and anti-dizzy meds. didn't take anti-nausea due to side effects. went back to dr she refilled my anti-dizzy said see you in a week, week later still dizzy refilled meds see you in a week, told her thought it might be labrynthitis she said maybe and you are looking at 6 weeks. Said if not better next week call and you can see ear nose and throat dr i called but could not get appt till the 17th. meanwhile having more questions than answers i looked online and think it would more likely be vestibular neurotitis as I am not having hearing changes as you would with labrynthitis. I also read anti-dizzy meds should only be taken for the first 2 weeks and i had been on them for four weeks. So I stopped taking them on monday and felt fine till last night now dizzyness is back along with nausea. I am just miserable. I have 2 little babies at home I need to be caring for. I am feeling like a prisoner. Cant drive or go grocery shopping as that makes me feel even worse even going to dr appts make me feel horrible. It will be 6 weeks next monday. Any chance this may go away soon on its own??? Any chance I may feel better soon??? If the dr confirms my diagnosis then what?? Nothing he can really do right?? Please any advice would be great!!!
