My husband has been in the hospital for almost 2weeks for a fever that comes and goes. He had just finished his final radation treatment and went down hill fast. He is unable to eat food so he is on the feeding pump. After two days in the hospital he developed a fever that comes and goes. No antibotics are working. At first we were told he could have pneumonia but that is not the case. He has had a CT Scan which again did not show anything. Two days ago he started coughing up small amounts of blood and complained about his legs feeling numb or tingling. Tomorrow we will have a visit from The Center for Infectious Control..I am completely lost. Has anyone seen symptons like this. I really need some advice.

I don't know if anyone here can do more that offer you some guesses based on their expereince, which probably wouldn't help you much. But i know this, the symptoms caused by cancer can in turn cause other health problems. For example, cancer doesn't directly cause heart problems, but fluid build up around the heart (cancer related sysmtom) can.
So it could be a number of things. My wife was coughing up a little blood back in Nov., but that was because the large obbstruct tumor was shrinking and was pulling away.
I know this is overwhleming, but try to stay strong while they pinpoint the problem. Your husband needs you. So try to focus on things that are within your control that you can do to comfort and support your husband.

Conan is right, we would all be just guessing. My dad had numbess and tingling in his legs which was called neuropathy... yet another side affect from chemo. Ask alot of questions and be sure you tell the Dr everything.
