Ive read almost every search result i can find, but i have yet to find one with good citations or just from a legitimate publication about the transmission rates of genital herpes (HSV2). I read that infected female to uninfected male transmission is 4% a year without treatment and without condoms. This seems absurdly low for the number of cases of herpes out there, i know a study was done with Valtrex..does anyone have a link to a copy of this from a reputable source.

The study you're talking about was done by GlaxoSmithKline the makers of Valtrex. If you go to Valtrex.com, there's a link at the top of the page for 'Information for Health Care Professionals'. Follow that link, on the left you'll see a link for transmission indication; you find all sort of information with references and citations.
