Howdy Everyone,
I hope all of you are doing well in your efforts to get clean and stay clean. I will be at 18 days tonite 9pm PT since I took my last oxy. It has been difficult but I am starting to see results. Been very depressed last night and today but I know it's just the physiological changes to my brain from the rx opiates. I have my head wrapped around that fact and that every day, heck every moment my brain heals a little more and I will be back, maybe even better than before the addiction.
Bless all who post hear.
Cheers,
dg

Heya Dig

18 days! Good job, Buddy. Good job!

The depression is rough, really rough, and I am sorry that you need to go through this necessary step, but you are keeping a really healthy attitude about it. And you are right, it is healing minute by minute. That's a pretty amazing perception on your part so early in the game.

Keep active physically, and mentally and keep seeking support by posting and whatever avenue you choose. These are the things that hasten the disappearance of the depression.

And Dig? Continue on this path and you will be back stronger, better and more joyously than ever before. That is a certainty.

Peace

digdoug,

Congrats on 18 days! You sound like a very strong and positive person and that is a wonderful thing, especially at times like these!

Im sorry to hear you are still dealing with the depression, but I guess that just goes along with the recovery thing. It sounds like you understand the cause behind it though, and in my opinion that is the most important thing.

You have a very healthy and positive mindframe and I think that will pull you through the rough times for sure!

Also, some physical activity will get those feel good chemicals up and running again!

Good Luck and Keep Up The Good Work!
Harmony

Great on you, to have endured 18 days, you are in your 3rd week, good things are going to happen for you. Now the worst of the physical stuff is nearly at a close, now you are ready for your recovery journey. Yes, and the mind playing tricks on you, or the addict playing tricks n havock with you. Good to know that you are on top of that one, All blaaaa feelings pass, some stay a short while, some stay a little longer, it's what you do to ignite the spark of life that will get you feeling better, faster.

take special care
kadee
