Hi Subs,

I was wondering if you have come across any literature on Vets who have had tinnitus caused by a brain injury?

I was trying to do some research on different brain traumas and the onset of tinnitus and thought maybe you may have access to some from your military sources. It all sparked my interest after hearing of a young man who just came home (Pittsburgh area) who was injured from a car bomb and is suffering from ringing in his ear. My thoughts are that his is noise enduced, but was wondering about solders who may have had head injuries.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Gloria

Hi Gloria

No have not seen anything on brain injury. VA has a significant program on tinnitus ---but it seems to be focused on handling it---once u got it, i.e, masking, etc...do not see much R&D---more clincal......
