NCGuy 04-13-2007, 05:53 PM Does anyone know the typical dosage of B12 injectable in 'ml' and how often does it need to be given? Sponsor MikeBlue 04-13-2007, 08:12 PM Hi, I don't know what formula is used to determine a person's dosage. You might want to check with your medical team. But, I've been prescribed Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml, 1cc IM monthly. Good Luck, Mike japlopper 04-14-2007, 05:07 PM It depends on the B12 levels and what is causing it. People with really low B12 levels can get injections weekly until the levels go up, and then they slowly switch to monthly. steph4477 04-15-2007, 11:04 PM I do IV therapy for a living and use about 2 cc of b12 (2,000 mcg) twice weekly in the vitamin bags for my patients. Most do this for three months or more before they begin feeling better. I do not give b12 alone. I believe that b complex, vitamin c, magnesuim, and other nutrients are equalliy important for treating anemia. See if your physician will prescribe meyers cocktails instead of just b12...you will feel better much faster. Good luck!
