I was recently diagnosed with R:wave: adiation Pneumantis. Symptoms include a bad cough and shortness of breath and tightness in the chest. I have NSCLC stage IIIb diagnosed in October, 2006. My oncologists decided to treat me very aggresively with concurrent radiation/chemo treatments. I had 12 treatments of chemo. and 37 days of radiation. I will have my final treatment of Taxotere in a few days (3 treatments in all). The radiation oncologist warned me that I might get this condition as a result of the intense radiation given to the tumor surrounding my breathing tube. I am being treated with with Prednisone at a high dose (20mg tablets 6/day).

Has anyone had this condition? If so, could you give me some insight? The steroids interupt my sleep every night!
