Hello everyone. It has almost be a year that I have been dealing with this crap. I would never guess in a million years that this would last this long. The last couple of months have been ok. I have manage to live life like any other 24 year old ( school, working out, bar hopping) but today I'm having a really bad day and can't shake off this feeling. I feel rocky and I have pressure in both my ears. Like everyone else on this site I just want this to go away. It is times like this that my hope is down.

Hi GeeGirl,
Well, monitor your progress against how it was 6 months ago... The good news is that you feel better... We all have rocky patches, and they come and go... For example: I usually stay far away from these boards, but then I get a cold or something lse and I am back here reading everything.
The recovery process of this illness is not linear.... It has manyups and downs, some more than others, but for the chronic, it may be longer term ups and downs. Try to take it easy and not overdo it when you feel ok, this cnan cause you to have a temporary setback.

I keep tell myself that it is getting better, which it has but when I get these bad spells my mind starts playing tricks on me and I start thinking that it is never going to get better.

Welcome to this horrible club!
When you start to feel better try to think that you still have it rather than you are completely cured. That will open up the possibility of the blips to you.... Its always worse when you dont expect it... But if your expecting it and it never comes then its a bonus.
For the most part your brain is still recovering even when you feel 100%.. remember that... That is why it comes back... You can feel 100% for months and your brain is still fine tuning.

Thanks for the great advise. I will try to see it that way. Do you still have blips?

Yup, I am in the middle of one right now... Been three years for me... I wish I could avoid getting sick, but with a daughter in Day Care, it seems to be too difficult.. I contract everything she gets....
This last one started 1 week ago.. I am hoping it leaves soon... I feel terrible.

Hi dizzyandsad I have gone to every doctor possible ENT, Neurotologists, etc.. They all get me different opinions of what I have, so I stopped listening to them. My attacks are about an 6 on and 1-10 scale. I have my ups and downs. The good thing is that now I have more UPS then downs.

Usually I only get symptoms when I get hit by illness.... Something that seems to mess me up bad. Actually, I said 3 years, but Its going to be 2 years this May. sorry..... So I would say that if I had not gotten sick, I may be 100% all the time :(..... I really hate it.
