i've been to the doctors 2x, complaining of inflamation around the anus area. i was given diaper rash cream and a roll of the eyes.

i last had intercourse in the first week of december 2006. in january i started feeling a kind of tingling / burning feeling around the genital area. at the end of january i had a colonoscopy and subsequently thought that they had roughed me up a little...anyway, the discomfort increased...so did the burning and tingling sensation....

now, for the past week i've had what looks like little clear blisters on one side, close to the anus...it is very painful...sort of in waves actually...

i still get tingling around the anus...in fact i get waves of tingling all over my body ...maybe i'm just imagining this though but it feels pretty real...especially after a shower...

i get swelling in the vagina area and it feels like a yeast infection...but no itch.

i guess i must have herpes...i have a very stressful live (VERY) and i assume that this only worsens the condition...

i haven't had any "lesions" ...but 4 months is a long time to tingle and burn...i take motrin at night for the pain...but don't really know where to start... i wash my hands obsessively...use my towels only once and carry them to the hamper with a ruler...(ok i don't do that but it has crossed my mind!)

i just don't know where to start...vitamin C, oil of oregano...and what the heck is l-L ...right now i'm thinking that my life is pretty much over ...how long does this first OB last? or does it just keep giong? or am i in fact having an OB?

'guess i'll focus on my acute calcific tendonitis for a while :(

first asprin,
get tested for herpes one and two and request the western blot test. its more accurate, if your expirencing outbreak type symptoms then chances are you have antibodies
the go from there
there are many different ways to treat it. and go to your doctor and tell him you want the western blot or the herp select test
those are your best options.
go from there before self diagnosis, trust me on that one
and if you go to a planned parenthood or walk in clinic its not expensive, the clinic by me only charges like 20 bucks

Overtitall is right, but would also like to say that my first o/b was exactly where you are describing that yours is and mine tingled and itched and i also visited my gp who told me it was a sweat rash and to use an ointment and it would go away.

Once visiting a sexual health clinic and getting a swab done i was confirmed as being positive for type 2.

Some people's first o/b is so bad that it wont go away and they keep getting back to back o/bs or experiencing the side effects.

When I was trying to figure out what was going on with me, the first doctor I saw told me to wash my nether regions with salt water every day & said it would clear up in a few days, that it wasn't anything bad... This was during my initial break-out. I saw two other doctors within 4 days, who merely gave me tylenol & took some tests but refused to say anything to me, and only when it got really really serious and I went to the hospital did I find out that I had herpes. By that point my break-out was so terrible that the doctor's assistant actually gasped when she saw what had happened...

Apparantly, salt water on raw flesh do NOT go well together. Makes me wonder how it would've been if that hadn't happened... :/

Needless to say, I now get 3-4 different opinions whenever I get sick. :p
