If you all read my post this morning about shooting me I broke down and took a meclizine just really needed to get some of the crap eased. I can handle the "regular" dizziness but this attack had me floored. Throwing up the whole nine yards also felt like having an anxiety attack anyone else ever have those?? what can i do about them?? Also gave me a really low depression point was having bad thoughts and wondering if it was all worth it, so called and left message for my GP to see if they can find me a little to no side effect antidepressant/anxiety med as i am having wierd reactions to the other two i have tried. Do you think when I see my ENT he will at least give me some hope....??? I know I am reachign but totally freaked out right now been crying all day....

Hey dizzy, we all felt like you in the beginning of all of this. It is the worse. I think we all wanted to die...i know I did. I am on my 13th month and i am getting well. I can do eveything now that I did before. There are many people that have recovered 100% with this. I takes time for your brain to compensate. But everyone is different. You can be absolutly fine in a few weeks. Just hold on tight. We are here for you. I wouldnt advise taking anything for your depression or anxiety, it can actually make your symptoms feel worse...it can, but not always. Take a deep breathe....

Dizzy...
I agree with Jax on this one. I remember how I felt...and yes, I just wanted it to all go away. I was down and almost could not take being a new mom, and having this head monster.
I am a few months behind Jax (7 month)...but I too am feeling much better. The terrible feeling you have now will ease. Don't think you are going to feel the way you do now forever.
Peace.

hey dizzy, when you mean attack, do you mean vertigo? When you see your doc, ask to see a vestibular rehab therpist. They will set you up with some exercises to help with recovery. Do you have a history of migraines? Were u recently sick?
Char67 was really ill in the beginning and she's really well now...it takes time and patience which none of us has with this stuff. we all want to be well NOW and back to our normal self. I know a very people personally that had the samething and it took them a few months to get better without any rehab exercises. Dont give up girl, we are all here for you.

No history of migraines. By attack I mena asmall stressor set this one off. My 9 month old son was screaming in my ear and my 3 1/2 year old daughter was shouting and running around house and my hubby had gone to store and was getting stressed so felt it coming on. Then heart felt like would explode (anxiety) severe dizziness, brain fog, nausea, vomited couldn't sleep was stuck on couch cause felt way to sick to move around. Downed pepto bismul took meclizine tried some benadryl to help me sleep (didn't help so much) and this would be the third day of this attack and still very dizzy and nauseous and anxiety..... haven't been sick in a week or so back when i first got this the first month i had 4 colds in that month head cold stomache flu head cold regular flu.Hopefully I can get diagnosis on tuesday. SO you think there is a chance i may be much better by 8 weeks?? (6 weeks tomorrow??)And thanks you guys this is just the worst i have ever felt and i had a horrible birth with my daughter and had csection so for me to feel this bad....

Hey dizzy, there is only a small percentage of us that that a little longer to get better. There is a HUGE chance you'll come around in a few weeks....that is the norm. Its normal to get sick alot with this because your immune system is down and you are stressing about this....we all did and do. Last night I had a blip, some of my symptoms came back more intense, but that is normal and I stressed. I am still in my recovery, but do extremely well...some days hardly any symptoms, this is the was this stuff goes....you'll be fine!!!

hey girl, if it doesnt go away in the next few weeks, it will go away, but will take some time....just try to keep your self active as much as possible, but dont over do it. In the long run, you'll be fine. It just sucks right now, but you'll get better. Try to think positive, we know it is hard but it helps. I sympothize for you. My symptoms were didnt in the beginning then yours, but were still stressing.

I agree with Jax totally...the usual time is 12- 16 weeks per my Ent. I believe I went longer due to the hormones of my pregnancy. All in all, you will improve...

Norm would be 8 weeks-16 weeks. I had a friend that only had it for 1 week. Another 4 months and another 6 months. And another friend had it for 1 day. My friends child got vertigo at 18 months of age, but is fine now. It can happen to anyone at any age. Its a sad disorder, but this is how life goes. I think of it as a glitch in my life. It def made me a stronger person.
