View Full Version : Re: Is this part of anxiety?

Okay, probably a strange post, but has anyone felt like your mouth produces an overabundance of saliva when you're stressed out or going through anxiety? This problem seems to come and go with me. I've also heard that hormones can affect a woman. I try using mouthwashes with alcohol to help dry me out some, but I don't always like using mouthwashes with alcohol in them. I guess an antihistamine might also help. I do have reflux, so maybe that is also part of my problem? Who knows? Seems like with anxiety/stress comes extra gas or acid in the stomach. I saw an ENT - didn't insist that he do any specific tests and he couldn't find anything immediately wrong just by checking me out in the exam chair. He said that anything he prescribed me might affect me neurologically. He could measure output, but I declined. He also commented that I might be "focused" on it. Any suggestions?
