Hi All,
I have been on xanax since Nov 2006. Started with 0.25 3x daily and as needed for any breakthrough panic. In January it wasn't helping much so he put me on 0.5mg 4x daily. He then upped me to 1mg 4x daily because it wasn't quite right yet.....ok, now that is alot so I kept on with the 0.5 4x daily and had to occasionally take an extra dose if I were having a bad day. Lately I'm noticing the anxiety is creeping back up on me and even with the 0.5 4x daily I'm feeling anxious and just not well. I hate to up it but I may have to. Has anyone been through this? I just can't imagine continuing upping it....
Also have been sick with something lately. Not sure what but the doc said bronchitis yet I have no coughing and he did no xray or bloodwork just gave me antibiotics and mucinex. Can being ill worsen your anxiety and cause the meds to not work right?

Thanks

Have you thought about klonopin? I believe it stays in your system longer.

Yes, being ill can make anxiety worse.
