I need help with this
I tend to over focus and correct alot of things that I do in life,
for this instance I focus on my mouth and over correct it because I always think its wrong.
This happens because I put a higher focus and get pre anxious like I think im gonna do it wrong, then it comes out wrong

Can anyone help me with pre anxiety?

if you constantly watch how you step, you'll probably trip and fall or walk awkwardly and never reach your destination. but if you keep only the objective in mind, you'll never stumble and will achieve it effectively. i know this probably doesn't answer your question, but i try to live by this and it's a very hard thing to do! also it does keep the anxiety down in many situations when i'm under pressure.

pre anxiety is entirely psychological because it's happening only in your mind. You will need to learn to manage your thinking. There are two ways to do this. First, you can focus on desired outcomes rather that undesired outcomes. Another approach is when you start to have anxiety producing thoughts, exaggerate them to the point of being ridiculous and your laughing at yourself - that will take away a lot of the intensity. Do a net search on cognitive behavior therapy and rational emotive therapy. Some good free information on the net and some good books available. It's an effective approach to anxiety from a psychological perspective.

wow thanks alot for this information
any thing else like personal experiences
success stories etc. would be good inspiration.
My whole life, Ive over focused on everything, Im an aspiring PGA golfer who shoots scratch as a senior in high school, and for every sport ive been in, basketball and golf, Ive put a ton of focus on my swing shot and try to shape it to feel right. But all golfers know when you are sitting there focusing on your swing, You arnt going to hit that great of a shot. So Ive compared this to how ive compared trying to get over this. Thinking in that perspective is a very helpful view when I put my anxiety into that situation, So I will try out the new stuff you are throwing out at me and hopefully it helps
Thanks again
