I suffer from severe anxiety. This has at different times caused me physical problems and pains. I've had tingling and numbness in my limbs, very dry eyes, twitching in my eyes and facial muscles and the latest, sore throat and clogged ears for several weeks. All this has worn me down. I have tried different anti anxiety medications, but nothing has worked except for valium. If it wasn't for valium, I wouldn't be sane today. I try to go to the gym and excercise, I've done yoga, but nothing really helps. Usually I wake up in the morning with and anxiety so bad that I have a hard time getting up from bed. Sometimes it fels like an effort to even breathe. Any advice would be helpful.

I too suffer from alot of physical stuff which my doctor blames on my anxiety/panic disorder. I know anxiety can cause some physical symptoms but since starting xanax and having my anxiety under control - except for lately - I highly doubt my not feeling well 90% of the time is anxiety related. Have you talked to your doctor? Not that it helps, it seems once you've been diagnosed with anxiety they blame every problem you have on that. I'm seeing an internest next week and am tempted to not mention my anxiety problem to him and see if he will actually run some tests and not just dismiss me as having anxiety....
Good luck and Take Care!

Thank you for your replies. I actually just started taking magnesium a week ago. Yes, I have been to the doctor for my different physical problems. Each time (thank God) it turned out to be nothing physically wrong with me. Just last month I had my complete physical and everything was fine. Yet, there is always something bothering me physically. For example, I had very dry eyes and it was very painful. I went to an eye doctor and he couldn't find any problem with my eyes. Just the other day I read that severe anxiety can cause dry eyes. Same thing with numbness in my limbs. Some mornings when I wake up I can't feel my hands or feet. I also shake sometimes from inside. It is not visible to anyone that I am shaking, but I feel like I am shaking, that my whole body is shaking. Now, I've had sore throat and clogged ears for 6 weeks. It started 4-5 days after my mother came to visit me. She is causing me a lot of stress. I have been to the doctor for my throat, but he could find nothing. Now, I am supposed to se an ear, nose and throat specialist. I am so worn down by all this. I am about to go through a divorce now and fear that my body won't be able to take all the stress. Thanks again for your replies.
