This is probably a dumb question, but how long after your last period did you stop using birth control? Some say you need to be "period free" for 12 months. Anyone??

After 12 months doctors usually say you are in menopause. I might wait until 18 months just to be on the safe side! I know women can get their periods after 12 months, but who knows if they have ovulated or not. I guess a blood test to tell you for sure.
