You should try checking out either the latest edition of Men's Fitness or Men's Health, they tend to have really good info on getting cut.

Just keep your caloric intake about 500 below maintenance and your should start to lose about 1lb per week.

Only 1 lb. a week? What the heck? I plan on cutting (my first time ever) in a couple of months. I certainly hope I lose more than that, and I certainly plan to. I plan on losing 15 or 20 lbs in a month. I have an extremely high metabolism, so as soon as I'm eating less I will lose weight, add in running and I hope to take off 4 or 5 lbs a week.

Losing that much a week, you're likely losing alot of muscle mass and water too. I wouldn't try to go above 3lbs per week if you want to retain maximal muscle mass. It's up to you though. You know your body better than anyone. If you know you can lose only fat in that magnitude per week, go for it. Most people can't though. I'd rather burn the excess fat a bit slower and keep the hard earned muscle than lose the muscle and have to go through the whole building process again.

Well I think I have the ability to put on or lose weight fairly easily. I was always a skinny guy until I decided to bulk up a year and a half ago. I put on almost 25 lbs in a little over three weeks. Obviously I put on some fat, but a majority of that was muscle. I ate like crazy and worked out hard.

I am concerned about losing muscle. I'll still be keeping my protein up at a 1 grap per lb. Hopefully if I keep the protein up and carbs and callories down I'll still be able to keep the same muscle and strength I have, yet lose the fat. I have to read up on what's a good program before I do it. But honestly, If I ate 3 meals a day, I'd probably lose 5 lbs in the first week, without even running.
