I can relate to you. I have also severe anxiety and a lot of physical sensations as a result of it. I have also felt dizzy and about to faint. I have also had numbness or tingling in my limbs, sore throat, clogged yes and just name it, the list is endless. I feel empathy for you brcause I know what you are going through. I also have severe anxiety related to my physical health and every time I have some kind of pain I panick and think it is cancer. I am worn down too. The only thing that has ever helped me is valium. All other medication I have tried has only increases the anxiety. But, that is only my personal experience. I do totally understand what you are experiencing. I feel that the quality of my life is considerably diminished by all this. I also often shake from inside which is very uncomfortable. I have suffered from anxiety for years, but some periods of my life have been worse than other. Lately my anxiety level has been very high. Take care!

Well... you can never faint with anxiety. I learnt that recently and found it somewhat useful. You only faint when your blood pressure drops. When you are anxious it increases.
Anxiety symptoms, however bad or scary, do go away. They don't last forever, although sometimes it can feel like it.
They won't kill you.
To be honest, in answer to 'how bad can anxiety symptoms get?', I don't really know. However, they don't last forever. The worst panic attack WILL end.
Sorry. I know this probably isn't much use but I wanted to put something positive. Plus, knowing that you won't faint can be useful. :)

Well people can faint but what usually happens is the persons breathing gets out of whack due to anxiety causing them to be hyperventilating which can cause a faint.I know because it has happened to me about a handful of times over the last 13 years.I want to note though that it is rare and if one practices good breathing techniques while in anxiety or panic chances are it will not ever happen. So it boils down to hyperventilation but the intial anxiety can be the precursor.
To the oringinal poster anxiety symptoms can get pretty bad as you sound to be dealing with now.I too have been there where it was constant for a very long time. Before I was diagnosed I spent 24/7 with anxiety for over a year. The good news is there is ways to combat the anxiety you and your doctor just have to find out what will work best for you.Of course first you need a diagnosis of anxiety disorder.Which it very well may be but let your doctor make that call.Best wishes.
