Anyone else think they have hypervigilance? I'm sure half my trouble is that I notice every little sensation in my body and magnify it, which explains the dull pain/discomfort in my chest, shoulder, face etc. You think it really is possible to become so sensitive to your body that you can notice every little change? THis has been going on now for four years. Ativan is the only thing that helps. Anyone else think they might have this?

Yeah, I think a lot of people with anxiety have this, especially if they have panic attacks as you are on constant alert for the next symptom. I think this is what makes anxiety worse to be honest and because we're anxious about what we notice (which may be a perfectly normal sensation that would otherwise go undetected) we are anxious and therefore notice more anxiety symptoms. Have you tried CBT? It's what I'm doing at the moment. I can't say it's helped yet but I've certainly learnt a lot about my anxiety.

Absolutely...VERY common with anxiety. I am constantly jumping at every weird little thing my body does...heart palpitations, etc. CBT will help.

Yes. I've had hypervigilance for years. Must be part of anxiety.
