Yesterday I had a virus and I think I became a little dehydrated. I got really anxious b/c I felt so sick and my heart rate would get up into the 140's every time I would stand up and go to the bathroom. I took 3 xanax yesterday (which I have never had to do) and I took my Toporal xl that morning and I halfed another one later that night.
I went to bed pretty early and thought I was feeling better this morning. When I got up a little while ago, my heart rate jumped into the 130's. i'm trying to not excert myself, but I'm kind of worried that i can't even get up and move around. I called my therapist last night and he said something about lactic acid building up in your system and that it needs to be flushed out. Can someone tell me what I could do to get this under control. I am trying to make an appointment but Im worried.

Lactic acid - I don't think that's your problem, but maybe your therapist knows something i don't, have you been working out a lot or something?

Anyways, your body compensates in many different ways, if it is true that you are dehydrated then your body can increase your heart rate as a way of maintaining an adequate amout of blood supply. If your dehrydrated drink water.

If you were going to die from walking around or moving, your probably would of done it already, so I wouldn't worry about it to much. Taking your pulse all the time creates anxiety all in itself. I'd highly recommend NOT doing that. Good Luck.
