I"m going to start taking Xenadrine pretty soon (cutting phase). I was wondering if it is ok to still take a ephedra product and still be able to do cardio. The death of that pitcher really raised my eyebrow. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance.

if your gonna us some epehedra take it with tylenol. that will come in real good handy and dont even think about running or even working out in a warmer enviornment than room temparature. drink an assload of water and start out with really little cardio until you know what your body can handle on ephedra. this stuff is nasty so use it right. I used it 3 times and was down 9lbs... definitly not all fat.

ephedra speeds up your heart rate... so does cardio... the two together combined w/ high heat or just over stressing the heart can cause a heart attack... heart attacks can be bad http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have been taking Xenadrine EFX for a few weeks now, and for me, I will not take it with cardio. A few weeks ago I did 30 min on the eliptical trainer and I almost blacked out a few times. I drove home feeling dizzy and faint.
I was only taking 2 pills/day. My diet is very balanced with 3 meals and 2 snacks per day and I drink enough water to put a camel to shame. I only take one pill/day now because I do a lot of cardio. This is just my experience, others may have different reactions.
I do like it when I lift though because i can lift longer and heavier.

I took Xenadrine for about a year, while doig a lot of cardio. Although I never had any bad experiences with it, I still do not suggest taking it with cardio. It may just be me, but I originally was taking it to lose weight and increase endurance while running. I stopped it when I began hearing all of the bad news on ephedra. When I stopped, I began drinking coffee to jump-start my workouts. I lost weight just as quickly and gained endurance just as fast as I did using it. Coffee is likely much less risky and certainly is a lot cheaper.

Me either, maybe he meant aspirin? Either way I think it is unnecessary. But he's on the dot, make sure you drink a lot of water, and don't starve yourself while taking ECA. You still need to eat, just eat sensibly.
Be sure also that you ease your way into it if you've never taken an ephedra product before. Make sure your body can tolerate your doses before you start to up them. When used properly, ephedra is a great tool to aid in fatloss. When abused ephedra can cause harm.

Hi,
Well I would say not to take ephedra and workout. I would be scared of overheating. I did it one time and thought my heart was going to explode.
Just be careful...

I have taken ephedra before and I took it wrong and it like to destroy me. It was hydroxycut I took too much too soon. After my workouts it would destroy my stomach. I ddin't really affect my heart too much (or I just didn't feel it) but it ate my stomach alive. I would vomit my water within no time. I'm going ot just up the dosages everyweek. start with maybe 2 a day and if that don't affect me too bad than I might go 3, and I think it is instructed not to exceed 4 but i'll check into. Thanks for all the insights, this will be really helpful.
