Hi, I'm new to this board so forgive me if this hass already been asked. Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction after their iron infusion. I recieved mine On March 6 (a thursday), that saturday i noticed a cluster of small red bumps on my left arms. The next morning the bumps were all over my left arm and had spreaded to my right arm. By the time Monday morning came, it was all over my neck, chest, stomach, entire back, thighs and my face. I called my doctor office and the nurse said it wasn't a reaction because it would have shown up 24-48 hours afterwards. I told her it had been within 48hours and she said to just go talk to a pharmisist. Well I did, that was about a month ago and it's still a problem. The only difference now is, it doesn't itch anymore and the bumps are no longer red, now they are a couple of shades darker than my skin complexion. Has this happen to any one else? If so, how long did it take to heal, and will my skin ever look normal again? Someone please help.

I remember having a bumpy rash start about three hours after my last InFeD infusion. I took Benadril for the next few days. I recall the bumps lasted a few days. HTH
