I really need to release all this built up emotion and tension. I am not one for cutting myself I have never done it and have no intension to but I need something that will help me relax and let out all these emotions.

I would really appeciate any ideas that people have that help them - especially things that they find relaxing. I have started embroidering a quilt for my pregnant friend which I enjoy doing and which helps me relax to a point but I really need something more.

If you have any really good ideas they would be gratefully received.

Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toffee, how about posting what is bothering you at the time?

When I am feeling very antsy and anxious, I find a good, brisk walk (or any good exercise) helps. Of course, mustering up the motivation is another story, but once I manage to get myself moving, I never regret it.

Toffee1 - Have you tried yoga? I find it to be very helpful in relieving depression, anxiety and stress.

I agree, my therapist recommended yoga and it really helps. I purchased a few yoga DVDs and love to do them at home. Also, maybe try journaling.
