and the dizziness/nausea that I had on day 3 are gone- THANK GOD. I really could not have coped with that for very long, given that I have two young kids to care for full time. The only thing I am feeling now is a bit anxious and spaced out...I am hoping that this is just my body getting used to the drugs. I was on Zoloft briefly about 10 years ago, and I don't remember having any side effects, but I am 40 now and I suppose an aging body makes a difference. I do remember suddenly feeling better at the 2 or 3 week mark...and overall the Zoloft helped me. Fingers crossed that it does the trick again.
I'm curious to know if this is a common reaction, how long it took for the side effects to go away, and of course, if it worked...
Thanks all...

I started on Zoloft warly last week and that first wee I was extremely anxious. (I'm taking it for anxiety so it didn't help me any). This week is better. I hope the anxiousness goes away. Does it?

I would like to know too about the side effects of Zoloft, etc. Please, anyone?

hey guys,
yeah, it happens with most antidepressants, as the body adjusts to them...the common side effects always seem to be nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, feeling jittery, dry mouth, diarrhea....but, these do tend to go away with time..like for SanSousi--she felt better after about 5 days, and you RedMan, you said pretty much the same, that you felt better too...just give it another week or so. if nothing changes, then call, or see your dr. about it. sometimes, we need to try different meds. before we find a "good" one for each of us...
good luck to all!!!

Thanks Dakota...I thought I was really losing it for awhile there...I read the leaflets that list all the possible side effects, but then translating it to the real world is another story, you know? It sounds like what I've been having is pretty typical. I decided, since the dizziness THANK GOD lasted only one day, to stay on it and watch and wait...today is only day 6 after all.

no problem. sometimes, i'd rather take some "passing" side effects, than the horrible sadness, or horrific anxiety, you know?!! i'm sure it will pass, since you said you already feel slightly better.
continued success to all!!!!
