lower back pain with menopause? I do fine walking, etc., it's sitting (I work at a computer most of the day) - I do get up and move around, talk walks, etc. I posted this in the Back Problems forum, but not much help, since not everyone in that forum is in menopause.
I do back exercises (slowly), sleep with pillow between my legs - any suggestions??

YES, it goes and comes, but I definitely have lower back pain. It is worse sitting, and like you, that's what I do all day. I find myself getting up and walking around the building more just to ease the ache.

If you had it checked out, did Dr. recommend anything? Are you taking anything for it now? Advil, Tylenol help a little, but not a whole lot.

No I didn't have it checked out. I really think it is just another menopause symptom. If it were to become chronic and/or unbearable I would probably see a doctor, but not anywhere near that yet. Hopefully it will go away when all the rest of these lovely symptoms do!

d'you think it's maybe an age thing, rather than a menopause symptom? we're all getting older as we go through this, and aches and pains just come with age anyway don't they? just a thought.

i get Lower Back Pain all the time... im 47... and i work as a CSR... im sitting on my butt all day long at a computer... i get up and out every single break i get during the day to walk around the building... i also just bought a DVD for first time yoga users... OMG! this is the best think ive done in a very long time... it goes from simple stretching to full body joint freedom and the routines go from 5 minutes up to 45 minutes... it starts out Very Simple and you can work up to the Advanced levels or stay down low or in between... i use it Before i go to work AND when i get home from work just to loosen up... it really does help with my lower back pain and the stiffness i get from sitting all day... Good Luck To Ya!
