I have a universal weight machine and I am wondering if I am doing enough weights as far as each muscle etc etc?
I just started adding them into my workout routine faithfully this week. I am splitting them up.
On Monday and Wednesday I Do: I do 3 sets of 10 the last set is hard to finish. When I can do that I know to up the weight.
This is what it says on the machine as far as the exercise and what muscle group it works. There are others that I can also do but these are the ones I am doing right now.
Pec Dec--Pectoralis Group
Incline Press--Pectoralis Group, Triceps, Deltoids
Lat Pull Down--Latissimus Dorsi, Phomboids, Biceps
Seated Row---Posterior
Tricep Pressdowns--Triceps
Back Extension--Erector Spinales
Then on Tuesday and Thursday I do:
Abdominal--Rectus Abdominis, LLiopsoas
Squats--Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Gluteus Maximus
Standing calfs--Gastrocnemius and Soleus
Leg Extension---Hamstrings
Leg Curl----Quadriceps
So do I need to add anything to the weight training would be my question?
Thanks, Sharon

Looks great to me. The only thing you might add is one bicep isolation exercise to balance the triceps press, and something for the shoulders like an upright row, lateral raise or overhead press - whatever your equipment will let you do. Otherwise, it looks very balanced.
