As you may or may not know, tomorrow (Friday, April 20th) is "Hokie Hope," an alumni-led declaration of a national "Orange and Maroon Effect" day in memory of those slain at Virginia Tech. If you have anything orange and maroon, please wear it tomorrow in a show of support.

Thanks.

Hi Trish
I will be sure to do that for your fellow Virginians tomorrow. In the UK we are genuinely perplexed by anyones need or desire to carry firearms. Even the police are not armed here and citizens are definitely not allowed gun licences. Shootings are very rare here. A gun, in my opinion has only one use, particularly in the wrong hands. It is all so very sad and unnecessary and my thoughts are with you all.

Trish,
Thank you for posting this!
Definately will find somethng orange and maroon.
I think everyone is still stunned by what happened.
I have a grandson graduating from Mississippi State in May and a granddaughter that starts there in the fall.
The mass murder hit home to me. I could just imagine that happening to my grandchildren, because it could happen anywhere.
I live not far from Jonesboro, Arkansas and Pearl, Mississippi is just down the interstate. These mass killings are becoming too common!!

Thank you!!!!
Memaw
