Totally normal!

He DOES develop hair there... but then rubs it away when he's lying down (naps and at night).

Same thing is happening with my daughter... she has a big bald spot on the back of her head, and I have to take a lint brush to her sheets every day to pick up all the little hairs she's shedding from her nap "flailing" as she tosses and turns her head from side to side, rubbing that spot over and over.

X you always make me laugh with what you say. Love the lint brush. I also have had this happen with all of my kids. Although it was very early on. about 2months .

My dd9months is just growing hers back in, it's almost all there now. But it is sooooooooooooo normal. ;) Keep it clean and when they stop sleeping in the exact same position it will start to grow back.

I heard an old wives tale that if you take a magnet(like the fridge magnet) that it helps. I only did this with out Newfoundland dog after he had surgery and was bald and it helped with that (it was a bigger magnet though). But i never did it for the kids.

Thanks a lot for your help .Actually this is my 1st baby and I don't have any expereince in taking care of babies .I read that upto 12 months ,its normal but I didn't know if its normal beyond that as well .One more thing ,He has scar marks on the front portion of his head because he has a brain surgery .Does this magnet help in growing hair at the scar mark or around it ?He has already grown hair around it but not at the scar mark offcourse ..
