Hi, I'm new here and my question may sound a little weird; however, I am so worried that I am sick to my stomach and crying all the time. The other day I went to use the restroom (not at my house) and noticed blood in the bottom of the toilet bowl. Normally, I would have flushed it before I used it, however my stomach was completely upset (I have IBS) so I just went to the bathroom. Towards the end of my upset stomach, some water from the bowl splashed up onto me. Do you think I could have HIV/AIDS now? I am so worried....I have always been so safe sexually and now I don't know what to do. I know I should wait to get tested at 3 and then 6 months....but I am reck right now. My fiance says I shouldn't worry because the chance of anything happening is very minimal. What do you think?
Please help me.

relax! hiv is not transfered that way, so you should have no fear or concerns of contracting it in that manner.it is a weak virus that will die in contact with the air, so you should have no worries at all.
good luck:cool:

Thank you for replying so quickly! I was wondering about the life of the virus once it came into contact with the air; however, I was wondering if it would live because it was in water and not just on a plain surface....what do you think?
I know I am probably crazy for asking these questions, but I am so afraid.

i think you need to relax..lol
hiv needs a certian enviroment to survive
and water isn't one it will survive in.
put your worries to rest,it cannot be transfered in that way.
and your not crazy if you don't know
but if your afraid of it that way, you just might be:dizzy:
j/k good luck you are fine :)

Thanks again! I thought this was a little silly, but I constantly worry....this case is a perfect example. In all honesty, you have relieved my fears a lot, but I will still probably worry a little and get tested down the road to make sure :dizzy:
Thank you so much again!
