This is my first time here so I hope I get this right. Is any one taking narcotis b/c of the pain as a last resort when nothing else worked?
I was dx w/ fibro about 25 yrs ago after being injured on the job in a hospital. Used anaprox and it worked fine. Two yrs ago took an antibiotic and got C.Diff and had 1 and1/2 yrs of constant diarrhea and hospitalizations. with the constant sitting on toilet and bing immobil things got horribly worse. Tried anti-inflammatories which didn't work. finally put on Fentanyl patch and two wks later able be an assistant coach for 6 yr daughter. did well for several yrs. this week got a horroble exacerbaion again.
I use opana and 800mg actic lozenges(fentanyl) prn. this week horrible b/c doc on vaacation and I was unable to get to visit before she left so I had nothing. Pain was as bad as it was yrs ago and had to go to ER for dilauded injection when husband insisted I went. Today I was able to see her and she prescribed my meds. today took them as well as the actic and I feel so much better.
