wow, she is raring to go isn't she? Any minute now she will do it, and there will be no looking back! There isn't really a lot you can do to help her, she is too little to make the association between you popping her knees under her, or suchlike, and doing what SHE wants to do. It is frustrating to see them just on the point of something and yet not quite. I have always been amazed to watch babies learn stuff..it is incredible. Anyway, as I said, any minute now. Cheers, Sera

Hi Dentoncharlene
My daughter is in the EXACT same boat as yours!
She is 27 weeks today and is really trying to crawl so hard! She does get around very well by 'army crawling' - only backwards. And she can get her legs up under herself by herself, then rocks, but usually ends up falling face first into the carpet. Which she doesn't like. ;)
I've read to put toys just out of her reach or lay on the floor with her (way in front of her though) and try to get her to come to you. I have tried that and all it does is p*ss her off! lol :D She likes me right there so she can 'crawl' up onto my lap.
We just saw her pediatrician yesterday for her 6 month shots (we're a little behind) and she said any day now.
DD just recently figured out how to get from a sitting position down to laying on her tummy. And she's also been 'standing' since 3.5 months. And for the past 3 weeks, she's been pulling herself (from sitting position) up to standing while hanging onto her stationery toys. Everyone keeps telling me that she's just going to skip crawling all together because she loves to stand.
I'm sure in the near future your dd will be cruising all over the place! Get your house baby proofed if you already haven't!
Just wait it out, that's about all you can do. Crawling can happen anytime, but usually between 7 and 9 months. So your dd is right on target if not a little early.

I've got 4, my 1st was like yours. Just wait it out and when you see she is frustrated just make sure she is safe and turn her around or put her in something like the jolly jumper which is so good for them and their energy or the stationary one which is what we have(i think its a jumparoo). She'll get it soon or atleast learn how to crawl backwards which they learn first anyway. Not sure why though. :-)

My 6 1/2 mo isn't creeping, crawling or rocking. I try to encourage her by sitting in front of her or placing a toy in front of her but she just gets tired and rolls onto her side. She is however very good at being carried.

She is however very good at being carried.LOL, my 11-month is still very good at that too!
When my dd was 6 months old I said to my husband "any day now" and then I pretty much said that for the next 2 months since she didn't start crawling until she was almost 9 months old!
