I use it also and have for 30+ years.I take it for a very fast heart rate and it does work well for that and no side effects at least for me. I also get migraines and I do not think that has helped them but since I have been taking inderal for so many years it might have helped them a bit. I am still searching for a magic pill to help me. Fioricet seems to come close but I stopped that several months ago since my doctor thought I might be addicted to them. I wasn't I just stopped them CT and no problems except my migraines are back full force. Wish I could help you more but give the inderal a try it is a good drug.

Thanks LORRIEM... when i went to pick up my Prescription this morning AFTER i wrote that Thread, i realized its INDERAL (Propranolol ER 80mg Capsule)... i hope this is the same thing??? i took my 1st pill at 9am this morning and i dont feel a thing... i hope that means No Bad Side Effects... i can usually tell by the 1st pill if ill be able to take it or not... im Super Duper Touchy when it comes to Medications... we always have to start off at the Very Lowest Dose of whatever we are trying at the moment... ive been reading ALOT about it today on the Web and it sounds pretty decent... so why not? im gonna try to stay on it for a few months/maybe go up in MGs as the months go on and hopefully it will help slow down my Migraines... i get them Every Single Week... and it drives me Nuts! this past week was the 1st 40 hour week i worked it Months! but the week before, i was out for a few days due to 1... oh well... Wish Me Luck!

Yes that is the same thing but it is extended release. I was taking plain inderal 80 mg three times a day.Last year I was switched to innopran xl 80 mg twice a day since that is also extended release and stays in your system. It still is a beta blocker like Inderal. You really should have no problems it is an old drug and proven to be safe.
