Good for you MeMaw.....I am proud of you!! ;) Sorry I haven't been much help/encouragement on the Board for the past couple of weeks but I am still lost (as is Sparki) without Doris. They say time is my best friend.....I sure hope they know what they are talking about.
I'll return shortly and put in my usual 2 cents worth; until then let me know when you get to 10,000!! :p

Dave,
I can not imagine what you are going through!! My heart goes out to you.
Well, it took me over 8 months to reach the 5000 mark, so I figure another
8+ months to reach 10,000. Sure hope I hear from you before then.
Give Sparki a scratch behind the ears for me.
Hey Everyone!
Thanks for all the congrats!! Appreciate them!!

Their is no better inspiration than "you" coupled with the rest of the QUITTERS in our QUITTERS CLUB! I can relate to just about every word you write.
Can you just imagine 5000 cigarettes smoked and then piled high in an ashtray. I will be 1 month on the 26th and I figure that will be about 600 cigarettes that I have not smoked. They sure add up fast.
Even the thought of spending money on cigarettes now irks me and I wonder how I had no problem with it before QUITTING. That alone is enough to keep us all QUIT. It feels sooooo gooooood to be out of the clutches of the nicodemon.
Congratulations Memaw! You certainly deserve it! :jester: One of these days Sara and I will catch up to you. Smiles...

My name is Jwande, and I am a nicotine addict.
I have stopped nicotine for 1 day, 1 hour, 13 minutes and 12 seconds (1 days).
I've not smoked 37 death sticks, and saved $6.44.
I've saved 3 hours and 3 minutes of my life.
Meemaw - The best compliment I can give is that you are an inspiration!;)

Hey Memaw...that's awesome!!! You have sooo much to be proud of in your quit. I am three weeks quit today and really feel like I will make it this time. I took your advice and cut back on the dosage of Chantix and I feel sooo much better! Thanks so much for your continued support and encouragement. Thanks to all on this board for being so eager to help and to share. Welcome to all the newbies!! Congrats and good luck!

Brenda,
Congratulations on being smoke free for 3 weeks!! AWESOME!
I'm so so glad that cutting back has helped you. I wished I would have known that I could have done that!! I went for 3 months with nausea. My doctor's suggestions helped, but it didn't get rid of it. But I was so determined to quit smoking and the Chantix was working toward that goal, I didn't want to stop it!!
Everyone!
Thanks so much for the well wishes. I truly appreciate the kind words.
I think the best people in the world are right here on this message board!!
Thank you!
