hey im new here!ive been a bit paranoid about getting hiv lately and i was wondering if hiv can be transmitted if someone who is infected with the virus sneezes,coughs or spits near you if u happen to have an open cut?ive read somewhere that it is possible!

its not possible to contract it that way,there are antibodies in saliva that won't allow it to survive there. there is a lot of misinformation out there and that is one of things often said that is wrong.

Doubly agreed, If HIV was transmitted this way the entire planet would be now infected. Please, this is simply disinformation and scare mongering, plus it is completely irrational.
