Hi all,

Just checking in to let you all know that I've made it to day 16 of being smoke free. I still reach for them for a moment and the remember that they are gone. When I get ready to leave the house, I still feel like I'm forgetting to take something with me, the smokes. I don't have enough of a desire to smoke that I would go out and buy any but I still feel that if I was offered one that I would probably take it. No major side effects other that excessive drymouth, I do drink a lot of water now. Anyone else still feel this way after not smoking for 16 days? Thanks, Usta:)

Congratulations ustalaughalot!! 16 days is awesome! :blob_fire :blob_fire

Yes, at 16 days I was still craving. Just last Friday I was leaving to drive somewhere and I had a momentary thought to check for my pack(s) of cigs... now this only lasted a split second... I've been quit 11 months... it does get better! Keep up the great work!!!

I would not smoke if someone handed me one today. I don't want to go through the hell of that first week again!

Hi Usta!!
Congratulations on 16 days smoke free!! Way To Go!!:bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing:

You'll probably be reaching for them for a long time. Remember how long you smoked!! The habit of making sure you have them is almost automatic!! It will take time, but those things will disappear after a while. You are still pretty new in your quit. But doing very good!!!!!
I'm so glad you're not experiencing any bad side effects!! You're very fortunate. All in all you're doing exceptionally well!!! :blob_fire

Good Luck to you!! Keep up the good work. And DON'T you dare accept a cigarette from anyone and mess up your quit!!!

Memaw;)
