I was in my local grocery store when I stumbled upon this:

100 g of (dry)product includes:
290 kcal energy
24 g protein!
45 g carbs (1,2 g sugars)
2 g fat (0,7 g saturated fats)
15 g fibers!
7,5 mg iron
200 mg magnesium!

This "product" is mung beans. And the taste isn't too bad either. Unfortunately amino acid composition isn't perfect so you have to eat some grain products during the same day to get all benefits from it.

Anyway, I think this these beans would be suitable for everyones diet no matter if you're trying to bulk up, maintain or lose weight. With 15% of fiber I guarantee that its GI is very low.

Oh, and this wasn't a paid commercial as I didn't mention any labels. :)

Hello, They taste really good cooked in with sloppy Joe filling. I like to saute up some onions, ground turkey and garlic. After the meat's done, I add tomato sauce and sour cream. (You can use the fat free sour cream if you like. I like the Breakstone sour cream.) Serve it nice and hot. Now you've done it! You made me hungry! (Ha, ha.)I like mung beans better than alfa sprouts. Oop! Are you refering to the mung bean sprouts? Please say yes.

Oh, you can sprout them too? I better try them. I've just used them cooked. I used to make pancakes from mashed chick peas... I better try if mung beans work as pancake ingredient too.
