Hello all, can anyone give me a ruff idea on how much a sleep study test costs. I'm pretty sure I have sleep apnea. I don't have any type insurance so it looks like I'll have to pay for one. Thanks

Mine was approximately $1600 a night. This did not include the initial Sleep MD consultation $200, and the post sleep study consultation $200..
Total you will be looking at a baseline night to determine if you have sleep apne.. if you do you will come back for a second night where you do everything again, except you wear the CPAP and they determine you necessary pressure to prevent OSA events.
So $3600 is a rough total approximation.
Sincerely,
MG

Thanks M for the info, I contacted 4 places and 3 have replied. I couldn't believe how much the price varied. The lowest was $2,300 and the highest was over $5,000. Thanks again

Michael,
I wonder if teaching hospitals might have a sliding scale available for people without insurance. It may be worth looking into.
You may or may not need a sleep study depending on your consultation. In any case, this is medical care that is worth EVERY cent so I would encourage you to pursue your instincts.
