I finished my weights and was about 12 minutes into my cardio and all of the sudden I got this really sweet taste in my mouth. Does that have anything to do with Ketosis (sp?) and/or blood sugar? I ate a good balanced meal about 3 1/2 hours before working out.
what do you all think? is that a bad sign?

That used to happen to me as well. If i had to guess, i'd say that our bodies are telling us we need sugar. Id like to have a better explaination though.......

Yeah, that sounds like ketosis, and no, it is not a bad thing unless you are a Type I diabetic (produce little or no insulin). It means you are burning fat (ketones are a byproduct of fat metabolism). You might want to drink more water to help dilute the ketones and flush them out via your urine.
