hey guys..i was just wondering, what is a good, healthy food plan i can follow to lose weight? my main problem is my thighs and abs but i read in another topic that there is no way to get rid of one area of your body..and also what home activities can i do to help get my body fit? i am unable to go to any gym at the moment so what can i do around home? i do have a treadmill but any other exercises that i can do in addition to running? any ideas would help, thanks :)

Hi,
No you can't spot reduce parts of your body you need to reduce bodyfat all over.
A really good balanced diet is weight watchers, but if you don't want to do this drink lots of water, cut down on any fried, fatty foods. Cut down on sugar and increase fruit and vegetables. Also include protein( meat, cheese etc) and carbohydarates (bread, rice Pasta etc).

breakfast: oatmeal w/ skim milk
snack: fruit and low/nonfat cottage cheese
lunch: salad w/ low/nonfat dressing
snack: apple and low/nonfat yogurt
dinner: lean steak or skinless chicken or salmon and vegetables and long grain rice
snack: mixed nuts (no peanuts)
simple and healthy meals spaced 2 or 3 hours apart... and don't forget to drink water all day (1/2 gallon minimum)

Also... simple push ups and sit ups was how I began working out when I didn't have equipment or a gym... and keep up the cardio.
