View Full Version : Salt and Addison's relationship

Hi. I am new to these boards and have been trying to research the relationship between salt cravings and Addison's. I remember reading somewhere, I cannot remember where, that the bloodwork comes out more accurately if salt intake is lowered. I don't know how I would be able to do that, but will if it means I would be diagnosed more quickly, or if it would make a difference in getting some kind of diagnosis to find out what is wrong with me. I have symptoms of both cushing's and addisons which is making everything much more difficult for the docs to get a handle on, imo.

If you could direct me to some studies, I really would appreciate it.
Thanks so much.
Patti
